ABOUT MOSAIC: LIFE STORIES IN MOTION
MOSAIC: Life Stories in Motion is a 13-song double album shaped by Steve Thompson’s personal experiences, creative journey and reflections on life’s defining moments. Its songs explore themes ranging from artistic ambition and the demands of a white-collar career to love, loss, memory and resilience. Co-produced with Jim Sampson, the album brings together an accomplished ensemble of musicians, vocalists and engineers, including GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Alan Sanderson, keyboardist John Varn, bassist James East and drummer Brian “Nucci” Cantrell. Together, the songs form a musical mosaic of the people, choices and experiences that have shaped Thompson’s life and work.
ABOUT STEVE THOMPSON
Steve Thompson is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose talents include vocals, guitar, trombone, keyboards and blues harp. Based in Marin County, California, Steve grew up in the Southern California music scene and fronted the 1980s mod-rock band The Jetz, performing at many of Los Angeles’ top music clubs alongside artists including The Bangles, R.E.M., X and The Untouchables. He has continued writing and performing as a solo artist while remaining active in rock and R&B bands throughout Northern and Southern California. In 2022, Steve formed the songwriting group The Dandelion Dream and released the critically acclaimed song “Give More Than You Take.” His latest release is the 13-song double album MOSAIC: Life Stories in Motion, which has been submitted for GRAMMY consideration in the Best Rock Album category.

Although she is singing in another language and you may not understand her, the vocals are mesmerizing and soothing as can be.
